Emil was born in South Africa where he started playing rugby at the age of 4. He continued playing thru out middle school and high school, were at the age of 16 his high school rugby team won the nationals. After high school he migrated to the states with his family. He then stopped playing for a couple of years to further his studies, but ultimately couldn’t stay away from rugby and started playing for eastside in 2009. Off the pitch he enjoys having a few with his friends and fellow players. He believes that rugby is more than just another sport but a lifestyle.
